I'm not shitting you every single time I drove by a cop doesn't matter how slow or how quiet I was I got pulled over. In 6 months I got pulled over 13 times (yes you read that right 13!) never got a ticket as I tend to obey the traffic laws but it's still a major pain in the ass.

It probably had more to do with me being 25years old(and I looked young for my age) in a $60000 SRT8. They must of thought I was a drug dealer or the car was stolen because every time I got pulled over I would ask why they pulled me over and I would always get some version of the same answer "we just want to check your documents" then go to their car for 20-25 mins and come back give me my papers and let me go. Not only was it wasting my time but it can be embarrassing when 3 cop cars block you in and you make look like a cartel drug lord.

Getting rid of that car was the best thing I ever did. Lesson learned if you want a go fast car get yourself a silver/grey or preferably brown sport sedan. The Chevy SS or Hyundai Genesis R-spec are perfect for the fact that that they both look like normal cars and would not get the kind of bad attention a BMW/Mercedes might get.

That bike would not get the same attention as true sportbike yet it is almost as capable. your father in law has the right idea, a sport tourer like the FZ-9 is way more discreet than an R6.
